Car, motorcycle or trailer: Here you’ll find our driving licence categories explained briefly and honestly. You can then calculate your price yourself in one minute.

The classic car driving licence. We’ll guide you step by step from the application to the test – without stress.
Not sure whether B, B78 or B197 is the better fit for you? Just tell us briefly how you want to drive later on – we’ll recommend the most suitable option.
You take the practical test in an automatic – and can still drive any manual car afterwards. Full category B, but with significantly less test stress. The training is mixed: you learn in both automatic and manual cars, but the test is only taken in an automatic.
With B78, you take the practical test in an automatic. Afterwards, you may only drive automatic vehicles.
If you would also like to drive manual cars later on, B197 is often the more suitable solution. You can also take B(78) now and, later, if you wish, complete 10 manual driving lessons; then this can be entered as a key number.
With A1, you can ride light motorcycles up to 125 cc – perfect for everyday use and the city.
You can later progress to A2 and A.
A2 is the popular motorcycle licence category with a power limit – ideal as a starting point.
With the relevant prior licence, you can later progress to category A.
With category A, you may ride motorcycles without a power limit – including with a sidecar.
Ride 125cc bikes with your regular category B driving licence – without a TÜV exam. Just a short course at the driving school, then you receive the endorsement.
Mofa is the entry-level option for 25 km/h – with lessons and a certificate of completion.
Depending on your starting situation, we’ll explain which documents you need.
AM is the classic entry into the world of two wheels – for scooters and mopeds (depending on the vehicle type).
Especially at the beginning, solid basic technique pays off – we'll practise it without stress.
With A80, you can obtain class A from the age of 21. Until your 24th birthday, you are restricted to A2 (35 kW) – after that, it automatically becomes the unrestricted class A, with no further test required. Training and testing are the same as for class A.
Your advantage: you save yourself the additional upgrade test later on. Which option is right for you depends, among other things, on your age and previous licence holdings – we will explain it to you in the initial consultation.
You need BE if you want to safely handle heavy trailers on a regular basis and need more capacity.
BE generally includes a practical exam. We’ll prepare you for it in a structured way.
B96 is an extension of category B for larger trailer combinations. You receive key number 96 after a compact training course – without an additional TÜV test.
If you regularly tow heavier trailers or need more capacity, BE is often the better solution. We’ll be happy to advise you.
If you already have a driving licence from another country, a conversion may be necessary.
Bring your driving licence and all available documents with you – then we can tell you straight away what is needed.
With BF17, you can drive a car from the age of 17 – but only when accompanied. This lets you gain real driving experience early on, become more confident and start driving independently at 18 much more relaxed.
Until you turn 18, you will receive a BF17 driving permit (not yet the final card driving licence).
Accompanying persons may offer advice and guidance – but they may not intervene.
You will then no longer be allowed to drive until your 18th birthday.

6 or 12 double lessons of basic material, plus 2 or 4 double lessons for your licence category – followed by the theory test.
The number of practice lessons is individual and depends on learning progress, previous experience and concentration. We plan transparently – and tell you honestly where you stand.
What you use to study for the theory makes a difference.
Very close to the test and well structured – you can quickly see where you stand.
A solid start – but generally less in-depth than professional learning systems.
Saving money in the wrong place.
With the intensive course, we plan your training on a fixed schedule – as V1 or V2.
